A driver's facial model was first constructed with an asymmetric active appearance model. Rezaei and Klette introduced an intelligent driver assistance system to prevent ego-vehicle from rear-end crashes based on both driver monitoring and front vehicle detection. The two cameras mounted in front on the top of the driver were used for head and hand detection, respectively. In Ref. , an integration method of driver's hand, head, and eye for driver activity recognition was proposed. A better understanding of driving-related driver behaviors will contribute to a more accurate intention inference system. ![]() These driver behavior signals have been successfully used in the estimation of driver fatigue, driver distraction, and driver attention. Normal driver behaviors include driver head rotation, eye-gaze dynamics, hand motion and gestures, body movement, and foot dynamics. Driver behaviors have been widely studied in previous studies. ![]() The intended behavior of the driver is the extension of the driver's mental thought, which can be used to infer the driver's inner mental states. Dongpu Cao, in Advanced Driver Intention Inference, 2020 Driver Behavior OverviewÄriver behavior normally can be classified into intended and nonintended behaviors.
